I was babysitting Saturday night and decided to maybe send out my resume since the job I took over 2 years ago for benefits until I found something else has… lost it’s appeal.
on Monday, I received a phone call from a local advertising agency inviting me to come in for an interview.
on Tuesday, I had a 45 minute conversation that included 2 interview questions - which of these was your favorite job? which was your least favorite job?
on Wednesday, I got a phone call offering me a job. can I start Friday?
except for the part where I’m actually taking a pay CUT to start, there is promise of quick advancement… I’ll no longer be working at a mall, on commission. I’ll have a “normal” work schedule. I will have to think about what to wear to the office for the first time in years - at least, I don’t think they have a corporate branded work polo and name tag.
I’m pretty damn happy.
